Sometimes, life needs a little silence. When our senses work too much, we feel overwhelmed, like being engulfed in a pool of quicksand.
Sometimes, we need to withdraw from the world, not in body but in soul. Yet, it is hard to find a sanctuary of silence in the land of concrete jungles. Can our bodies be that sanctuary, I wonder.
All we need is actually a few moments of silence, however, an hour or more of complete silence (think of a place where nothing exists, not even light) could tear our sanity away from us. No matter how strong-willed we are, we are still a part of reality. That is what makes us human. We run on reality, not a conjured world of deep velvet skies and large green pastures that stretch beyond the horizons.
Life is always a mystery. However the instinct is there. We know what we want and how to shape our own lives, but we do not know why we feel this way so long as we enjoy the feeling of doing it. Thats life as far as we know it to be.
