The start of a new working week.....

The weekend had been rather tiring and strenous. Although I was helping out at the NIKE Real Run held at Sentosa since Saturday afternoon, my weekend was not as enjoyable as i thought. Why so? Imagine waking up at 2 am in stormy weather to set up waypoints along the stretch of beach on Sentosa. It was freezing cold. Luckily, the rain stopped when we started work on the beach. By the time the waypoints were set up, it was 5 am. We managed to catch like 45 minutes of sleep before we had to start work again. My duty was to control traffic at the entrance towards Sentosa. I was yawning constantly while waving cars to their respective parking areas. The crowd swarmed in around 7 am and things started getting a bit messy as cars, buses and motorbikes tried to ease their way through the jammed-packed road. After the race had offically started, we (those on duty) made our way to Gateway carpack, where the finishing point is, on Sentosa island for our next duty. By that time, we were like living zombies. The moment we returned to the chalet, i headed for my bed immediately.

When i reached home after the event, it was 12 plus on Sunday. I slept a little as the weather was rather warm. Frustrated, I logged onto the net to search for more mp3s to download. It being Sunday, i hope the authorities or whoever is in charge of dealing with online piracy are not patrolling the internet highways as well. LOL. I heard from John that Gilbert told him 2 of his friends had been fined 7K each for uploading mp3s. What about downloading mp3s, I wonder. The fight with piracy had always been futile, I think. But maybe the tides have turned, in Singapore that is. It seems that more action have been taken to stamp out piracy. Anyway, this is a battle i would not really bother about. Given the current economic state, piracy will be even more prevalent, simply because it's easily affordable and accessible.
