"You're beautiful!"

Is it just a superficial statment or is there more to it? Like the phrase, 'beauty's only skin deep'. I'm confused. When I look at someone with the likes of an angel, I would gasp. Can it get any further then that? Such as the urge to know that person? But would not that make me superficial: the act of choosing friends through looks? It makes me go crazy, thinking about the things that are possible but in another way impossible.

There's really nothing superficial about being beautiful. If you can already make someone smile, you're already beautiful to that person. If a song's beautifully written, you know the singer's .... If a picture's beautiful, you know the artist's .....
