I'm back! Back from KL that is. I spent the first night on Superstar Virgo and then it was free and easy in KL the next few days. Well, the best part of the trip had to be the cruise. KL still looked as rundown as it was 2 years ago. Nothing much had changed, except a chain of foot reflexology massage parlours and the invasion of new eateries providing japanese and middle eastern cuisines.
It was my first time on a cruise. The ship is huge, although it only takes half a day to explore most of it. The interior, especially the lobby, is grand. (Maybe the ship still looks new that's all)The main attraction onboard the ship has to be the casino. Plenty of jackpots, and tables of all the different cardgames you can name. I had to say I was amazed at the rate money changed hands. I seen a lady exchanged close to a 1000 dollars worth of chips at one go. I took a mental note of how much I brought for the trip and shook my head. If I was the banker for that night, I would be rich...definitely.
KL is one place I wouldn't go back to for a long time. Even KL Zouk did not really lift my spirits up. The clubbing scene is quite different to that of Singapore. How so? Singaporeans seem to grow out of clubbing when they reach their late 20s, while those over there consider clubbing as part of their mundane lifestyle. So you'll see 'aunties' and 'uncles' drinking or dancing beside you. I don't know if that's a bad thing or a good thing.
My next trip is gonna be one to the countryside or the seaside, some place where nature is more prominent. I'm sick of urban lifestyle.
