It was about 10pm when i boarded the bus home from the Park Mall bus-stop. At the next stop there was this pretty girl who got on and sat opposite me. I noticed she carried a laptop in her arms. (SMU student maybe?) Well, the seats on the lower deck were facing each other instead of the usual front-facing seats. So it got me a little awkward that whenever I look straight, I could see her face. Well, I wouldn't want her to think that I'm staring at her right? It would be utterly obvious! As a result, throughout the whole bus ride, my gaze was always directed to the left.
As the bus continued its way, I felt that she was always looking in my direction. As much as i was compelled to stare back, somehow it did hit me that maybe she just wanted me to look at her?! Haha, I didn't manage to find out of course as I never did glance once at her, other than the first time she boarded the bus. It was a crazy thought but it got me laughing inside. What would the answer be? Hmm, what I heard previously was that pretty girls or girls who think they are pretty like people to glance at them to confirm that they are pretty. Upon further thought, I think this notion applies to guys as well.
I got off the bus first, puzzled by the 'stare-not' incident. I should have just return the stare if I wanted the answer right? What was I thinking man...
