Koda Kumi - I'll be there

Well, this is one of my favourite tracks from Kumi Koda, one of the best jpop singers around. In fact she tops the charts in Japan right now.

My ipod playlist consist of many of her songs (strongly recommended by me). She doesn't have very strong vocals like Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey yet her voice is soothing and uplifting at the same time. Whenever I'm feeling down, listening to almost any of her tracks would perk me up. I do not understand most of what she is singing in the first place but somehow the emotions of the song comes through. The tone and control of her voice is clearly evident if you take the time to listen.

Identity - that is what separates a real singer from the others who just churn out music tunes for the sake of a career. A talented singer who puts her heart and soul into her music, I must say that I'm touched by her music.
